This is a photograph of Cyril Stuart of Carmarthenshire, taken when he was a Chef de Partie at the Dorchester Hotel in London. Cyril apprenticed at The Dorchester, before he was conscripted for National Service in 1950. He returned to the hotel after his service ended, before joining the London Fire Brigade. The letter is an employer's reference provided by the Dorchester when he left.
