Edwin Clement Cross, born Ramsgate 1895, joined the 25th London Regiment during the First World War, and later served in the Machine Gun Corps and the Somerset Light Infantry. This photograph shows him (standing on the right) and his comrades in tropical uniform, with a machine gun in front of their tent.
