This is a photograph of RAF Photographer Nigel Hopkins at RAF St Mawgan in the late 1970's. Nigel is photographed alongside a RAF Red Arrows jet and its pilot. Whilst talking the pair realised they hailed from the same area of Wales, so decided to pose for a photograph. At the time Nigel was a Photographer at the RAF Photographic unit and had been tasked to photograph the visit from the RAF display team. Nigel's memoirs of his service in the RAF, supported my photographs, can be viewed on line in the Nigel Hopkins RAF collection at the West Wales Veterans Archive on the Peoples Collection Wales website.
